Register your team
- Each team must comprise 2 members from the same partner organisation. No substitution is allowed during the course of the competition.
- Contestant cannot register in multiple teams.
- There is no limit to the number of teams from each partner organisation.
- Each team must be registered by 2nd Feb 2018 5pm SGT to qualify.
- Each team must have a unique team name.
- This quiz is only open to registered partners from the countries listed.
- Brunei, Cambodia, East Timor, Laos, Macau, Myanmar, Mongolia and countries with less than registered 5 teams will fall into the ROA Group. The top performing team from this group will qualify for the semi-finals.
- Fortinet has the discretion to change any of the rules, terms, venue, prizes or any other aspect of the FortiMastermind Challenge.
- Fortinet, in its sole discretion, may choose to may reject or accept any quiz result if Fortinet believes any cheating or non-compliance with the rules has occurred.

Qualifying Round
- The Qualifying Round comprises 3 sets of quizzes which are made available in sequential weeks as follows:
- Quiz 1: 7th February 2018, 6am SGT – 8th Feb 6am SGT
- Quiz 2: 14th February 2018, 6am SGT – 15th Feb 6am SGT
- Quiz 3: 21st February 2018, 6am SGT – 22nd Feb 6am SGT
- Each set of quiz comprises 40 Multiple-choice questions.
- Each set of quiz must be completed in 60 minutes.
- Each question carries 1 point.
- Teams will see their score after they have submitted their quiz.
- The top performing team from each country and ROA Group will qualify for the semi-finals, subject to that team fulfilling the minimum score of 30 points. Maximum total score is 120 points.
- The top 2 performing teams from remaining teams will also qualify for the semi-finals, subject to that team fulfilling the minimum score of 30 points.
- All participants will be notified of results via email by 23rd Feb 2018.
- Qualifying Round quizzes are only available on the FortiMasterMind portal at www.fortimastermind.com.
- All qualified semi-finalists will be provided the following at the 2018 AsiaPAC PartnerSYNC Summit.
- Conference Pass for 2
- Welcome Reception Pass
- Gala Dinner Pass
- 3 nights accommodation on a twin-share basis
- Fortinet Channel Account Managers (CAMs) will coordinate with semi-finalists for their travel arrangements, and VISA application where applicable.
- For the avoidance of doubt, all participants are required to make payment of their own air ticket, transport fees, visa application fees and other expenses. Fortinet will only be providing the items listed above.
Semi-finals
- The semi-finals is a physical quiz conducted classroom style at the 2018 AsiaPAC PartnerSYNC Summit, details as follows:
- Date: 10th April 2018, Tuesday
- Time: 8:00 am – 9:00 am
- Venue: Taipei, Taiwan
- The Semi-finals quiz comprises 30 MCQ questions to be completed and submitted within 45 minutes.
- Late comers will not be given any time extensions.
- The results of the top 4 finalists will be announced by 10th April 2018 5pm local time.
Finals
- The Finals is held live on stage at the 2018 AsiaPAC PartnerSYNC Gala Dinner.
- Date: 10 April 2018, Wednesday
- Venue: Taipei, Taiwan
- The Finals comprise two (2) knock-out rounds.

Round 1
- 4 Finalist teams assemble on stage at their station.
- There are 10 questions in this round.
- Quiz Master will read each question, after which the teams have 10 seconds to discuss and present their answers.
- Points are awarded for right answers.
- In the case of a tie, there will be tiebreaker questions.
- Lowest scoring team will exit the quiz. Top 3 teams will remain on stage and continue into Round 2.

Round 2
- There are 10 questions in this round.
- Quiz Master will read each question, after which the teams have 10 seconds to discuss and present their answers.
- Points are awarded for right answers.
- In the case of a tie, there will be tiebreaker questions.
- Lowest scoring team will exit the quiz. Top 2 teams will remain on stage and continue into the final round.

Final round
- This round comprises 10 questions.
- Unlike previous 2 rounds, the format is based on “Fastest Trigger”. Once the Quizmaster starts reading the question, either team can answer question at any time by pressing the buzzer, and without waiting for the Quizmaster to complete the question.
- Once the buzzer is pressed, the Quizmaster will stop reading the question. If the answer provided is wrong, the Quizmaster will commence reading the question and the other team will have a chance to answer that question.
- In the case of a tie, there will be tiebreaker questions.
- The team with the highest score at the end of this round will be declared the Fortinet FortiMasterMind Champion.
Terms and Conditions
- Participant or his or her guests are not a government entity or affiliated with a government entity.
- Attendance of Participant or his or her guests is not in exchange for new or continued business with Fortinet or any improper benefit.
- If Participant is attending FortiMasterMind on behalf of his or her employer, then Participant hereby represents that he or she has fully disclosed the nature of this event to the appropriate people at his or her employer, and has ensured his or her participation in FortiMasterMind on these terms does not violate any policy of his or her employer or any law, and, to the extent required by his or her employer’s policies, has ensured that his or her employer has approved of Participant’s participation in FortiMasterMind.
- All Participants are required to acknowledge and agree to the Rules and Regulations, and General Liability and Release Waiver Agreement as stated on www.fortimastermind.com upon registration.
- To be eligible for this competition, contestants must be current employees from Fortinet’s authorised distributors and partners from the following countries: Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan, China, Korea, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Brunei, Cambodia, East Timor, Laos, Macau, Myanmar, Mongolia.
- Brunei, Cambodia, East Timor, Laos, Macau, Myanmar, Mongolia and countries with less than 5 teams will fall into the ROA Group. The top performing team from this group will qualify for the Semi-Finals.
- To participate in this Challenge, contestants must have successfully registered and receive a confirmation email with Participation Code.
- For Stage 1: Qualifying Quiz, all contestants must log into the Quiz portal during the stipulated quiz period to answer the questions.
